Community Futures North Cariboo is taking on exciting new opportunities and has a number of positions to be filled. We are open to combining this work and structuring the positions as full-time, part-time and/or contract in order to find the right people to join our team.

Executive Assistant – 20 hours per week

Overview

  • Support the General Manager of Community Futures with completion of day-to-day tasks – i.e.,
  • Researching and developing proposals for CED projects
  • Assist with the development of new projects
  • Develop/implement CED fund policies and procedures
  • Review/present CED fund applications
  • Complete CED fund reporting
  • Completing, filing and distributing meeting minutes
  • Collecting and compiling organizational performance indicators
  • Completing Quarterly and Annual Reports
  • Developing and maintaining organizational policies and procedures
  • Distribute and compile results of client satisfaction surveys

Applicant Qualifications and Competencies

The Executive Assistant position is a diverse multi-faceted position that requires a wide range of skills. Accordingly, Community Futures does not expect that applicants will necessarily possess all of the qualifications and experience that define our "ideal applicant". Our focus in hiring will be to identify candidates with a strong mix of education and/or experience along with the attitudes and aptitudes that will support the development of an excellent Executive Assistant.

The ideal applicant will have certification and/or experience in the following areas:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Executive-level administrative experience

Required personal skills include:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication, research and writing skills
  • Ability to function well in a small team environment
  • Positive and opportunity-focused
  • Results-oriented self-starter

Compensation: Maximum $30 per hour for fully qualified applicants.

Note: this position may be combined with the Marketing Support and/or Business Coaching positions (also posted to Indeed) to create a full-time position.

Marketing Support – 20 hours per week

Overview

  • Support the Marketing Manager of Community Futures with:
  • Content creation (emails, website, etc.)
  • Manage digital and traditional marketing efforts (press releases, infographics, social, website content, GMB content, etc.)
  • CFNC event planning and promotion (videos, social, website, print)
  • Create and update content for internal use (fillable pdfs, templates, guidelines, etc)
  • Promote local businesses following campaigns
  • Coordinate team members to gather images, stats and content to use as needed.
  • Maintain updated records of assets (videos, imagery, etc)

Applicant Qualifications and Competencies

The Marketing Support position is a diverse multi-faceted position that requires a wide range of skills. Accordingly, Community Futures does not expect that applicants will necessarily possess all of the qualifications and experience that define our "ideal applicant".

Our focus in hiring will be to identify candidates with a strong mix of education and/or experience along with the attitudes and aptitudes that will support the development of an excellent Marketing Support person.

The ideal applicant will have certification and/or experience in the following areas:

  • Post-secondary education in Digital / Marketing or related discipline
  • Traditional and digital marketing experience
  • Required personal skills include:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong communication, research and writing skills
  • Ability to function well in a small team environment
  • Positive and opportunity-focused
  • Results-oriented self-starter

Compensation: Maximum $25 per hour for fully qualified applicants.

Business Coaching – 20 hours per week

Overview

Reporting to Community Futures Loans Manager, this position will provide support to businesses that have accessed Community Futures Regional Relief and Recovery (RRRF) Loans Program. Duties will include:

· Following up with loan clients to assess their ability to meet loan repayment obligations under the RRRF loans program.

· Supporting clients with one-on-one business coaching services.

Applicant Qualifications and Competencies

The Business Coaching position is a diverse multi-faceted position that requires a wide range of skills. Accordingly, Community Futures does not expect that applicants will necessarily possess all of the qualifications and experience that define our "ideal applicant". Our focus in hiring will be to identify candidates with a strong mix of education and/or experience along with the attitudes and aptitudes that will support the development of an excellent Business Coach.

The ideal applicant will have certification and/or experience in the following areas:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Successfully owned and/or managed a business
  • Business coaching experience/training
  • Previous leadership roles with a focus on business development

Required personal skills include:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong communication, research and writing skills
  • Ability to function well in a small team environment
  • Positive and opportunity-focused
  • Results-oriented self-starter

Compensation: Maximum $35 per hour for fully qualified applicants.
